About
Technology grabbed me early. Running sound and lights for middle-school drama productions kicked everything off — and by high school I was the technical director for most of our productions, building robots on the robotics team, and involved in just about every music group that would have me — helping out with church productions as well. I played trumpet all through school — and while I pick up my bass more often these days, I still enjoy it.
In 2016 I started with the Yorkville school district on their IT team, working on a little bit of everything for a few years before going independent as an AV contractor. I still produce at least two shows a year for them — sometimes more.
In 2017 I joined the production team at Harvest New Beginnings, running sound, lights, and video for live services and events. In 2021 I stepped into the IT Director role — so now I look after the systems behind the walls as well as assisting the ones on the stage. In 2024 I also managed the finances for a year in an interim role while we filled out staff — my small-business experience put to the test. And in 2025 I was promoted to Security Director alongside the IT role: managing our security team, interfacing with local law enforcement and first responders, and running the physical security systems — access control, alarms, and cameras.
When COVID pushed everything online in 2020, that season turned out to be an accelerator. Websites, video production, live streams, and a daily supply of new tech fires to put out — it sharpened the digital half of what I do more than any class could have.
In 2025 I launched Iconix Media and niched down into sports and portrait work. I've shot weddings, landscapes, and plenty in between — but I like working with people, and handing them a product they're happy with. Fast turnaround and client satisfaction have always been the values I run the business on.
Off the Clock
Outside of work I fly a drone, edit video, play bass guitar, and always have a camera within reach. Whatever I'm working on — a live production, a video, a website, or a support ticket — I want the quality to be the very best it can be.

Promoted alongside the IT role — managing the security team, interfacing with local law enforcement and first responders, and running the physical security systems: access control, alarms, and cameras.
IT Director
Everything with a power button — networks, systems, security, and the people who use them — plus a hand in the production booth. Also spent 2024 managing the finances in an interim role while we filled out staff.
Production Team / Technical Director
Sound, lights, and video for weekly live services and special events — the room where I learned that live means one take.
IT Team → Independent AV Contractor
Started on the district IT team working a bit of everything; now an independent contractor producing at least two shows a year for them.
Owner
Videography, photography, website builds, and tech support — music videos, events, portraits, and rescuing misbehaving computers.
Director of Technology
Running the technology side for a veterinary practice — systems, support, and keeping the clinic connected.
IT Project Manager & Photographer
Both sides of what I do in one place — managing technology projects and shooting the photography, providing consulting to other businesses and helping startups launch.
Photographer
Jack was the go-to in the local Chicago suburbs. I learned a ton from him — his teachings are the building blocks of where I am today.
Communications Specialist
One of five board members — photos, video, the website, and communications in support of the Yorkville schools music program.
Equipment Manager
Setup, teardown, and transport for every gig — stands, fronts, mics, chairs, power — working with the director to get each show right.
Diplomas & Certificates
Diplomas through the Oxford Home Study Centre, plus certificates in web design and programming — I like paper that proves I kept learning.
Let's make something
I'm always looking for the next thing to build or film. If you've got a project in mind — a video, a site, an event, or a tech problem that's beaten everyone else — get in touch.
