Terms of
01Agreement to These Terms
By accessing or using nathanielrohr.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree with any part of them, the remedy is simple: please don’t use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors and to every page, post, and feature of the Site.
02Who Runs This
The Site is owned and operated by Nathaniel Rohr ("I," "me," or "the Operator"), an individual creator based in the United States. It’s a personal website: a blog, a portfolio of video and photography work, and a home base for my digital brand. It is not a store, a service platform, or a professional consultancy.
03Using the Site
You’re welcome to browse, read, share links, and reach out — that’s what this place is for. You agree not to misuse the Site, which includes: attempting to disrupt or overload it, probing for vulnerabilities, scraping content at abusive volume, sending spam or malicious content, impersonating me or anyone else, or using the Site in any way that violates applicable law.
04Content Ownership & Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise noted, everything on this Site — articles, photographs, videos, graphics, the NR logo, and the design itself — is my original work and is protected by copyright. You may share short excerpts with credit and a link back to the original page. You may not republish full articles, photographs, or videos, or use them commercially, without my written permission (just ask — email me).
Third-party names and trademarks that appear in articles (for example, Microsoft, Windows, TeamViewer, or YouTube) belong to their respective owners. They’re referenced for informational and educational purposes only, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
05Your Submissions
When you email me, you’re providing that information voluntarily. Please don’t send confidential or sensitive information. If you send me ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you agree I may use them — including in content — without any obligation or compensation, though I’ll happily credit you where it makes sense.
06Tech Content Is Educational — Use at Your Own Risk
A lot of what I publish is technical: how-to guides, troubleshooting steps, security advice, tool recommendations. All of it is provided for educational and informational purposes, in good faith, and reflects my own experience and opinion at the time of writing. It is not professional IT, legal, or financial advice, and reading it doesn’t create any professional relationship between us.
Technology changes fast and every setup is different. Before following any technical steps you find here, back up your data. You alone are responsible for what happens on your devices, and I’m not liable for any loss or damage that results from applying something you read or watched here.
07Third-Party Links & Services
The Site links out to third-party platforms and services — YouTube for videos, social networks, and sources cited in articles. Those destinations have their own terms and privacy policies, which I don’t control and am not responsible for. A link is not an endorsement.
08No Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." While I work to keep everything accurate, current, and online, I make no warranties of any kind — express or implied — about availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Content may contain errors or become outdated, and features may change or be removed without notice.
09Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or its content. The Site is free to use; accordingly, if liability is ever found despite the above, my total aggregate liability shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
10Changes to These Terms
I may update these terms from time to time — for example, when new features or services are added to the Site. The "Last Updated" date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Illinois.
