01What This Policy Covers
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit nathanielrohr.com (the "Site"), how it’s used, who else touches it, and the rights you have over it. The Site is owned and operated by Nathaniel Rohr, an individual based in the United States.
02What I Collect (It Isn’t Much)
Email: if you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to write — used only to read and reply to you.
Automatically: like virtually every website, the Site’s hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data when serving pages — your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — for security, abuse prevention, and delivery. I see this only as aggregate statistics (how many visits, from which countries, to which pages), never as a profile of you.
03What I Don’t Do
No selling or renting your data. No advertising networks. No cross-site tracking. No data brokers. No profiling. Your email address is used for exactly the thing you gave it for, and nothing else.
04Cookies
The Site itself sets no tracking cookies. If embedded content (like a YouTube video) is present on a page, that provider may set its own cookies when you interact with it — see Section 05. If the Site ever adds analytics or services that use cookies, this policy will be updated first and the change noted prominently.
05Third-Party Services
The Site is built on a small number of services. Each may technically process your IP address as part of delivering its piece of the page:
Hosts and delivers the Site, provides security filtering and aggregate traffic statistics. Why: hosting, security, performance.
If a new tool or service is ever connected to the Site — analytics, comments, anything — this list will be updated to reflect it before or alongside the change.
06How Long Information Is Kept
Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to handle our correspondence. Cloudflare retains technical logs briefly under its own policy.
07Your Rights
You can ask me at any time to show you, correct, or delete any personal information I hold about you — just email me at nrohr@nathanielrohr.com. If you’re in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional statutory rights (under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively) — including access, portability, erasure, and non-discrimination — and I’ll honor requests under them regardless of where you live.
08Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the Site, contact me and I’ll delete it.
09Security
The Site is built to have almost nothing to steal: it’s a static site with no user accounts, no login system, and no database of visitor information. Everything is served over HTTPS with hardened security headers. The little data that exists (emails you choose to send me) stays in my inbox, not in any database on the Site.
10International Visitors
The Site is operated from the United States and its services process data there. By using the Site from elsewhere, you understand your information is handled in the U.S. under this policy.
11Changes to This Policy
When the Site changes — new features, new services, new tools — this policy is updated to match, with the "Last Updated" date revised and material changes noted prominently. What won’t change is the philosophy: collect the minimum, sell nothing.
